How to get here
On foot
Park your car at the “Il Planet” picnic area, 2 km from the center of Pramollo. From there, continue on foot along the 2.5-km dirt path. The route is very easy, with little elevation gain, and is suitable for everyone.

Short Hike
Once you reach Colle dell'Azzarà, park your car and follow the trail down to the PLP Mountain Hut. The marked downhill trail has a 200-meter elevation drop; it’s a bit steep but easy, suitable for families but not for the elderly or those who have difficulty walking.

For our lodge guests, we offer a 4×4 shuttle service (for a fee) that will pick you up right in the center of Pramollo.

There are many ways to reach PLP
Getting to the Pra la Peira Mountain Hut is very easy; if you’d like, you can even drive there yourself if you’re used to driving on unpaved mountain roads.
However, we recommend that you take it easy and enjoy the ride there on foot or by shuttle without having to worry about driving.
A short walk from the street
It’s an easy walk along the main road: 2.5 km with a 100-meter elevation gain, taking about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace.
On foot along the trail
You’ll need to drive 2 km up a simple dirt road to the top of the Azzarà Pass; the road is suitable for all vehicles. From the pass (1,650 m), you’ll need to hike down to Pra La Peira (1,450 m) along a trail. The route is moderate to easy but steep; over a distance of 700 m, you’ll descend 200 m in elevation. We hike up and down this route daily with our children (ages 6–8), but it is not suitable for the elderly or those with health issues. In 20 minutes, you’ll reach the PLP Refuge.
By car
2.5 km of dirt road suitable only for those familiar with mountain roads and driving a vehicle that isn’t too low to the ground.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle service in 4x4 vehicles: €5 per person one way, €10 round trip from the center of Pramollo.
On a Motorcycle
Suitable for touring and off-road motorcycles, this unpaved gravel road is easy to navigate and suitable for everyone. Follow the signs.
On Horseback
A beautiful horseback ride along a dirt road that takes you from Pramollo to the mountain hut in 5 km. From the mountain hut, you can hike up to Colle dell'Azzarà via the trail.
